What is Therapy

Therapy is a process of engaging with another person in discovering how one can best grow and learn how to solve life�s presenting problems. In some cases it may be a process where patients work to become who they want to be in relationship with others and to themselves. It can also be about learning how to accomplish one�s hopes and dreams in life regarding their family, career, social engagements and if desired, spiritual self.

In some cases, problems can be solved in one or a few sessions. In other cases, the problems and challenges may take longer to resolve. The therapist will discuss a possible time frame for therapy. In either scenario therapy requires work, continuity and commitment to the process.

Therapy is about facing, managing and resolving life�s challenges. Therapy is not easy, but the growth one can experience and the renewed satisfaction with life are great rewards for the courage, commitment, work and dedication invested in the process.
